CHEETAH CONSERVATION FUND (CCF)CCF is a non-profit, non-governmental organization established in 1990 to ensure the long-term survival of the cheetah and its ecosystem through a multi-disciplined and integrated conservation program of research and education. CCF is an international organization with chapters in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom and the main headquarters in Namibia. CONSERVANCIES ASSOCIATION OF NAMIBIA(CANAM)Aconservancy is an area on which landowners or land occupiers have pooled their resources for the purpose of conservation. CANAM was established in 1996 with the support of officials in the Ministry of Environment and Tourism (MET). CANAM was established to represent all conservancies in Namibia, be they situated in rural or non-rural areas, in communal areas or on commercial farmland. MEAT CORPORATION OF NAMIBIA(MEATCO)MEATCO is the largest meat processor in Namibia with abattoirs and meat processing facilities as its core business. Meatco has four abattoirs with the two in Windhoek and Okahandja approved for export to the European Union. These facilities utilize state-of-the-art computer technology, meeting the highest international standards, to monitor traceability of meat, yields, stock and cost. MEAT BOARD OF NAMIBIAThe Meat Board of Namibia was founded in 1935 to facilitate the export of livestock, meat and processed meat products to importing countries. All major stakeholders of the Namibian Meat Industry are represented on the Board. The Meat Board is equipped to assist meat and livestock trade with relevant information, technology and administrative support. |
